Leadership - Driving the Bottom Line
CCS' Executive Team contributes decades of experience in corporate management, oil and natural gas operations, environmental waste management and strategy implementation. CCS further benefits from the personal familiarity and track record of long-standing executive members and managers. In particular, Chairman and C.E.O David P. Werklund greatly enhances the company through his substantial experience as founder and C.E.O of the organization since its inception over 20 years ago. As well, his interests are strongly aligned with those of other unitholders through his 30 percent ownership in the company.

David Mattinson, P. Eng., President, HAZCO Environmental Services is one of the previous five owners of HAZCO. He has extensive earthwork related experience in heavy civil construction and site remediation. Prior to joining HAZCO in 1991, he worked for CANA Construction Company and Magnesium Company of Canada. David has a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from University of Calgary. |

David Fulton, Vice President Corporate Human Resources joined CCS in September 2007. He started his career in the paper industry in Ontario before beginning a 26 year career with Shell Canada Limited where his last position was VP Human Resources for the company. His time with Shell took him through HR assignments in Exploration and Production, Downstream Refining and Marketing, Corporate roles in HR and Strategic Planning, as well as assignments in Sarnia and Toronto; and two assignments overseas in London, UK. David has a MA in Industrial Relations from the University of Minnesota and a BA from the University of Warwick in UK. |

John Bean CA, Corporate Finance was Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer for 12 years prior to his promotion to President of HAZCO in 2006. He has recently joined CCS Corporation in the Corporate Finance Department. He has 12 years experience in the environmental services industry, combined with eight years experience in public accounting with a focus on tax planning. He completed his Bachelor of Commerce at the University of Saskatchewan in 1986 and became a Chartered Accountant in 1988. |

Mr. Friesen was one of the two founders of HAZCO Environmental Services Ltd. and held the position of President from February 1989 to July 2006. Prior to 1989, Mr. Friesen was employed for 6 years by Chief Hauling Contractors Ltd., a company specializing in molten sulphur transport, as the Marketing Manager. From 1977 to 1983 Mr. Friesen was a sales representative for R Angus Caterpiller in Peace River, Alberta. Mr. Friesen completed his Bachelor of Commerce at the University of Alberta in 1977.

 | | Rick M. Wise P.Eng., Vice President, Engineering, Regulatory & Midstream Development, joined CCS in April 2003. He has 19 years of experience in the Canadian oil and gas industry. Prior to joining CCS, Rick held positions of increasing responsibility in engineering and business development with Home Oil Company, Gibson Petroleum and EnCana Pipelines. |

Jim McMahon, Vice President, Business Development has over 15 years of Business Development and Marketing experience in the oil and gas sector. Currently he is Vice President, Business Development at CCS Corporation. Previous to his position at CCS, Jim held senior roles at Keyera Energy Income Fund, Vista Midstream Solutions Inc. (a private natural gas midstream company sold to Talisman in 2003), Unocal Canada, TransCanada Midstream and Westcoast Energy. Prior to entering the energy industry, Jim was a Marketing Representative with IBM Canada. Jim has an MBA and a BSc in Electrical Engineering, both from the University of Saskatchewan. |
